 The Duties of a Patient Care Assistant/Technician  

As a patient care assistant/technician, you can assist with the care of outpatients and inpatients suffering from a variety of diseases, injuries, and neurological and orthopedic problems. You may be called upon to walk patients to and from therapy with a gait belt, set up equipment for patient treatments, assist with community outings, and a variety of other duties.

 Certification Preparation 

Our patient care assistant/technician program offers the knowledge, skills, and work habits that can prepare you for a rewarding future in health care. The required coursework in this program is approved for Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aid exams monitored by the State of California.*

 Occupational Outcomes 

Upon successful completion of the program you will be awarded a certificate. Individuals who complete this program may pursue employment opportunities such as:
