The San Diego campus of Kaplan College is
centrally located in Kearny Mesa, near Freeways 805 and 163, and in
between Interstate 8 and Highway 52. Our facility occupies more than
53,407 square feet of classroom and office space and is handicap
accessible.
Each Kaplan College program is taught in specially built classrooms,
labs, and computer/transcription rooms. Our on-campus library and
learning resource center contain a variety of journals, publications,
and other resources for research and general studies. The library offers
computer services and Internet access and is open to accommodate
students during most College hours.
Equipment
In keeping with the high educational standards of Kaplan College, the
equipment used in every program offered allows students the opportunity
to develop a practical working knowledge of the equipment and materials
they will encounter on the job. Kaplan College supplies students with
hands-on instruction using a variety of medical, technical, and computer
equipment.
Our medical programs provide training with equipment commonly found
in science, nursing, and rehab labs. Medical office programs provide
centrifuges, blood-glucose machines, microscopes, autoclaves, and
examination tables. Phlebotomy and blood pressure equipment is utilized
to simulate clinical settings, and nursing labs are used to simulate a
hospital environment. There is also a multimedia lab with video and
computer programs to promote the learning of nursing skills.
